Indonesia

I was only meant to stay in Indonesia for the length of my visa: 1 month. a year later and I was still going back and forth - Indonesia to Singapore and back again, Indonesia to Malaysia and back again, Indonesia to Australia, and yes, back again. I met my favourite people in Indonesia, locals, and travellers from all around the world alike, and many who I consider cherished lifelong friends. I took buses and trains and flights and boats, sometimes all four in a span of 24 hours. I climbed and descended into volcanoes, I dove with manta rays and sea turtles, I surfed, I danced to live music as the sun set on the beach, roasted corn on the cob in hand (if you know you know), I lived on a boat for 3 days, I got up close and personal with Komodo Dragons, I drove my motorbike across a tiny secluded lake island, and I ate and ate and ate. If it weren’t for the virus that shall not be named forcing me back to cloudy ol’ London Town, I’m sure I would still be there right now.
